10 miles from Damascus - 6.5 miles from TN-VA border - rain last night Nice peaceful hike 8.3 miles - very laid back - met a man form Israel (nice guy). Crazy Lady was early at shelter knitting - hoping to finish pair of socks before leaving for Damascus.

Chipmunk and Patches recover trail magic from people from Texas that are leaving for wedding and wants to do trail magic, but will miss the hikers every day. Chipmunk and Patches came with a few goody bags (enough for most of the hikers at the shelter) what a nice treat - 4 tents - 3 in shelter - all hoping to leave early for Damascus.
