Hi Guys!!
I wanted to say hello and to say thanks to the both of you for answering all my dumb questions a the Zealand Hut where 'Patches' gave a nice Q & A. I've been hiking the trail on and off most of my life and over time my impression of through hikers has gone down, but thanks for re-kindling the optimism and positive spirit that both of you bring to the endeavor. Quite apart from another guy who was also staying the night. Shaved head w/an 'arete' tat near his left ear. I was juggling cars from the Highland Center and saw he and his girlfriend hitchhiking quite a ways from their campsite and offered a ride. I went out of my way to take them to the site and the dude stole my fleece pants. If you run into that maggot steal them back, OK? :-)
Sorry - comment was too long - this is the rest:
Best wishes for the rest of your journey. By now the worst is over and you can enjoy the best New England has to offer the rest of the way.
Kevin
