Notes from Crazy Lady
I love this hike!
We have done 10 days - 8 miles from NC. Have met wonderful people so far. Some more crazy then me - one young man hiking barefoot, one with crocs.
Nature is so wonderful! Saw some "Purple Violets" and "Wondering Jew".
We got up this morning just before sunrise, spent the night at Vista. Wonderful sunrise - sky was red - yellow- some purple (so rich).
Today, we have hiked along a little stream (so peaceful). By 2 PM we were at camp - it was wonderful! Patches and myself did laundry. I took shower with my camel water bag - washed hair also. Feel like a new person. Had hot tea and did some knitting while the kids played cards.

The Privy has a toilet seat on a wood box, around the seat and against the wall is grab bars - the heavy duty ones!!! The kind my patients would have killed for!!..If only they could haul their wheelchair 2 miles up to 4,220 ft... the toilet would be very accessible. (Nice thought)
Tray Mountain Privy (check out ramp)
In the morning before we start hiking, we have a foot clinic. Message - Vaseline, foot powder, alcohol (to kill fungus and prevent blisters) and check all possible blisters. All in all feet look good and function very good. Love/Hate relationship with my boots - Early morning - love them, Afternoon get very heavy with wet socks - hate them.
